Well for the first question I would say, one night stand is too rich a concept for a lady of my mom's age, so defenitely there is a precedence and antecedence.
Me being in 8th or 9th std at that time she would be 38 or 39 at that time. He is at least 6 years younger to her.
In the hindsight there were many instances where she would make up some reason to stay away from home on weekends, even before this incident. No one would suspect a typical school teacher mother to have a sexually active life, at least in our country. Once this incident happened I was able to sense adultery just by looking at her. Her mood, the sway in her walking, an extra pep in her talk, an extra care and love towards me, easily giving pocket money, a different perfume smell, change in the drape of her saree...all were my visual clues.
It changed many things permanently for me, the fact that I could never see my mom as I used to see ( no I am not complaining about sati savithri factor) after this incident is one among them.
